I would like to thank masai school who gave us the golden opportunity to work on this promising project , without their constant support this project would not have been a reality.

About:

CouchSurfing is a global hospitality exchange service website.Members can request lodging publicly or directly from other members, “hang out” with other members, or join/create events. Members set up user profiles on which other members can post reviews and find their best match for lodging.

Experience:

The experience was just awesome. It was a roller coaster ride , we went through many hurdles of technicality , disagreements, conflicts but somehow we pulled through and made this product.

Assigning Responsibilities:

We were a team of four people .We started with the Zoom meeting as soon as our got to know our team mates. In the meeting we decided on how to proceed and how would we divide the workload.

Challenges Faced During Integration:

As we had to make the website UI pixel perfect with functionalities we had to work hard .It had many functionalities which gave us the motivation to learn and achieve the desired result in stipulated time.

Platform Used for Communication

As we were working remotely, proper communication was another challenge, we used different platforms for communicating with each other. We used Slack where we had created our own channel and used to communicate with each other. We also used Github for creating issues, and assigned the task for an individual .We also used zoom to do regular meetings to see our progress and resolve the doubts of each other.

Takeaways

We entrusted each stage of a web app development project to a respective person, asking for help when needed, communicating properly about the issues faced and resolving them, we improve the chances of getting a web app that lives up to most of our expectations and closer to the final product.
