Fathom Health is a deep learning NLP system to accelerate medical reimbursement, backed by world class investors including Google Ventures, 8VC, and Stanford, as well as founders and early employees from companies like Google, Dropbox, Airbnb, and athenahealth.It uses AI for making the job easier.
Experience
Coming to the experience we must say it was a roller coaster experience we went through many hurdles, disagreements, conflicts but somehow we pulled through and made this product.
Assigning Responsibilities
We were a team of three people .We started with the Zoom meeting as soon as our got to know our team mates.In the meeting we decided on how to proceed and how would we divide the workload.The home page was made by all three of us an after that we divide the work per page wise.
Challenges Faced During Integration
As we had to make the website UI pixel perfect we were extra careful with the fonts and styles.Since we divided the HomePage among the three of use we faced many issues while merging it as one in github.
Platform Used for Communication
As we were working remotely, proper communication was another challenge, we used different platforms for communicating with each other. We used Slack where we had created our own channel and used to communicate with each other. We also used Github for creating issues, and assigned the task for an individual .We also used zoom to do regular meetings to see our progress and resolve the doubts of each other.
Takeaways
To develop a proper web app a team should consist of UI designers, front-end and back-end developers. By entrusting each stage of a web app development project to a respective person, asking for help when needed, communicating properly about the issues faced and resolving them, we improve the chances of getting a web app that lives up to most of our expectations and closer to the final product.
